Ukrainian World Congress positively assesses resignation of the Prime Minister of Ukraine
The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) positively assesses today's resignation of the Prime Minister of Ukraine that necessitates the resignation of the Government of Ukraine.
"The Ukrainian World Congress considers these developments to be steps in the right direction and calls upon President Viktor Yanukovych, the leaders of the opposition and the EuroMaidan to continue talks toward a peaceful and democratic resolution of the crisis in Ukraine," stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
The Ukrainian World Congress ( UWC) is the international coordinating body for Ukrainian communities in the diaspora representing the interests of over 20 million Ukrainians. The UWC has member organizations in 33 countries and ties with Ukrainians in 14 additional countries. Founded in 1967, the UWC was recognized in 2003 by the United Nations Economic and Social Council as a non‑governmental organization (NGO) with special consultative status.
